Problem
Our e-waste problem is growing rapidly. Despite its harmful environmental impact, many young Americans are unaware of its seriousness or what qualifies as e-waste. One reason people struggle to dispose of e-waste is due to emotional attachments.
Solution
We created a campaign where participants can trade in e-waste, and preserve their memories in a virtual memorial space.
Learning about E-Waste
The tutorial educates users about the significance of the e-waste issue and its environmental impact. Additionally, it provides a step-by-step guide on how to get involved in the campaign.
Customize the Tombstone for Your Device
Search and choose the type of electronics you wish to recycle. Then, personalize your memorial space by incorporating music, your own artwork, and a quote for the headstone.

Creating a Partnership
We looked for companies with trade-in services to create a partnership for our campaign. We chose Best Buy for their strong reputation in handling electronics and their wide product range.
